These are the official numbers (colloquial abbreviations for the official numbers in brackets).

== Colloqial numbers for counting ==
When counting fast, abbreviations are even more extreme. But note that these can only be used in counting a series, you cannot say, for example, "Haluaisin yy leivän" (I would like one bread).

== Physical Numbers ==
These correspond to the English way of saying "number one", or "number five". In other words, you could name a horse at a race, a paper bill/note (money), a number in a lottery, or the person finishing first in a competition as "ykkönen" (number one). Also the physical shape of the number is called like the following. Also school grades.

3 - kolmonen
4 - nelonen
5 - vitonen / viitonen
6 - kuutonen
7 - seiska
8 - kasi / kahdeksikko (only about the shape)
9 - ysi / yhdeksikkö (only about the shape)
10 - kymppi / kybä (only about notes/bills, and grades)
20 - kakskymppinen (only about bills/notes, and ages)
30 - kolmekymppinen (only about bills/notes, and ages)
50 - viiskymppinen (only about bills/notes, and ages)
100 - satanen / satku (only about notes/bills)
1000 - tonni (only about money)
