Case
Four cases are distinguished in Bol'enty:
- Nominative for the subject of a sentence
- Genitive for possessions
- Dative for indirect objects, beneficiaries, recipients etc.
- Accusative for direct objects
Gender
Every noun is either feminine, masculine or neuter, depending on its ending:
- Feminine nouns end in a or a palatalized consonant.
- Masculine nouns end in i or a non-palatalized consonant.
- Neuter nouns end in e or u.
Number
Bol'enty distinguished singular and plural.
