I am frustrated . I am not frustrated. I just spent the best part of my morning loading sentences I had downloaded from ting [google it and it's the first one]into media monkey [free -which I just got] I had chosen 5 sentences which I wanted to to put into a playlist and then transfer them to my mp3 player.And then I was going to listen to those 5 sentences all day. I mean etch them into my memory. Well whatever I did wrong ... it's not going to happen today. Yes, I do ask myself why do I get so excited about this.I'm mean yes I was excited !!! I was salivating at the thought of adding these 5 sentences to my meagre repetwah Here are a few thoughts about why.When I was in high school [1960 - 1964] the thought of a language -lab [ a place where you actually hear the language you were trying to learn had not yet appeared][Why you were first introduced to a foreign language in adolescence rather than as soon as possible is another factor which would tend to result...

Mm... It's not that I'm thinking on a withdraw but... it gets harder when your agenda is so tight. I haven't had the time to translate as much as needed, and thus I've felt kind of dissapointed (and unable to reach my goal by the end of June). I decided to change my mind about the translation process. It will not be a source of information, that is, whenever I approach a text and try to translate it, I shan't see it as if it were written in my mother tongue (i.e. as a trustable source of info); instead, it will be to me a sole set of words and sentences my mind is gonna start to soak up.

I fancy rely on a conversational-monologue-like-questionnaire as well to consolidate the vocabulary/sentences I'll be working on. But that's for a new entry.

Just for the record...
Yesterday I verified what I suspected, Catalan seems to be a worthy candidate for a future TAC. ...

TAC Team 2010 (Total Annihilation Challenge) Italian , Dutch , Latin

As my (only) new year’s resolution here’s my strategy for tackling the aforementioned languages.

I have no prior knowledge with Dutch, my Italian is nothing but its cognates with Spanish (my native tongue) and with respect of Latin, I’ve checked many times different grammars (the passive way) but can’t still translate simple sentences.

ITALIAN

Translating: 4%

Reading: 3%

Writing: 1%

Listening: 2%

DUTCH

Translating: 2%
