Nāhuatlahtōlli Class by motanz on 2010-04-26, 10:07
So Nāhuatl ['nɔa.watɬ] is one of my TAC langs
I'm from Mexico, so I'm highly interested in it, to get deeper into my own culture, which I love.

Nahuatl is an agglutinative, very respectful, and poetic/metaphoric language, whit its own philosophy. It is just beautiful.

I'm learning it at a school called "Tlahtolcalli" [tɬaʔ.tʊl.'cɑ.lːı] (Language house)

This is what I've learned so far...

Alphabet

Aa [a,ɑ] ...[a] not accentuated, [ɑ] accentuated syllable
Āā [ɔa]
Pp [p]
Tt [t]
Cc [k,s] ... [k] before A or O, [s] before E or I
Ee [e]
Ēē [ıe]
Hh [ʔ]
Qq [k] ... in combination with U, only before E or I
Ii [ı]
Īī [ i ]
Mm [m]
Nn [n,ŋ] ... [ŋ] in combinations NC(a/o) and NQ
Ll [l,ɬ]
Oo [o]
Ōō [ʊ]
Xx [ʃ]
Yy [j]
Zz [s]

Compound letters...
tl [tɬ]
tz [ts]
ch [tʃ]

Unfaithfulness in language learning by No passive learning on 2010-03-23, 3:15
As happens with love, one can doubt on one’s feelings…

I’ve registered three candidates for this TAC, namely: Dutch nl, Italian it and laLatin. Well, the thing is that for reasons I prefer not to reveal, German de has jumped the queue without being noticed. Now the scarce time I’ve got for language learning goes all to German. I will not submit it as a new candidate since, as it was established, changing languages has no point. The idea is to stick faithful to those we became engaged to. So keep promises.

P.S.

I have not improved in Latin, Italian or Dutch either way. Something tells me this TAC is destined to be a major failure.
