English Literary translation can not be professional by kingdict on Sat 2009-11-21, 9:48
Feng Jicai told reporters that if a friend asked, to which a country should first take a look at the book, I would tell him is that these two books: one is a tourist handbook, anti-lost; another novel, to look at the 23 This familiar with the people there, and even deeper into their midst.

As a well-known contemporary writers, Feng Jicai's work in Russia has an extensive influence, he spared no effort to promote cultural exchanges between China and Russia have done a lot of meaningful things. Finnish (Suomi) Kyy by lumiel on Sun 2009-11-15, 9:19
Vähän kansanrunoutta tänne.
A bit of folk poetry here.
:yep:

Kyy kylmänahka kavala
Vihollinen viirusilmä
Maan nuora kanervakarva
Maan on sykkä synnyntäsi
Tiijä sykkä synnyntäsi
Maan kavala kasvantasi

Enpä tiijä karvoasi
Mikä karva lienetkää
Oo vaikka yheksikarva
Mustakarva, harmiakarva
Tahi vaskenkarva

Pirun riivattu purija
Et very miun verellä
Et liho miun lihalla
Sie sahaselkäsihisijä
Pitkähammaspaholainen

Mäne metsähän mäelle
Pakene pajun vesoille
Luikerra kivien kolohon
Musta mato mää mullan alle

Vie vaiva männessäs
Kipu kova kulkiessas
Noille tappotantereille
Vainovaivoille sijoille

Eläkä enää ehätä
Tule näille nurkiloille
Ruma roikale luikertele

Pirun riivattu purija
Et very miun verellä
Et liho miun lihalla
Sie sahaselkäsihisijä
Pitkähammaspaholainen

Mäne metsähän mäelle
Pakene pajuvesoille
Luikerra kivien kolohon
Must...

English French (Français) Spanish (Español) How to count in... by Mancko on Thu 2009-11-12, 19:29
Hi,
I launched a website two weeks ago (languagesandnumbers.com) which aim is to learn how to count in as many languages as possible. How to write down numbers, any cardinal numbers, and to translate them in other languages. It started as a programming challenge to handle different numbering systems and scripts, including transliteration whenever possible, and now it's getting more and more interesting as a lot of languages do share the same structure for numbers (say digits are usually specific words, then you have the special cases of numbers from 11 to 19, the tens, how to link tens and units, the hundreds and thousands, the big scale numbers), with from time to time a different way to handle it, like the tens and units order, the big and short scale, the sheer meaning of some numbers.
The site supports now the following languages: Bulgarian,...
