English proycon has twitter :) by proycon on 2009-03-26, 14:37
I just thought I'd announce here that I've succumbed to the hype and am trying to use twitter now :) --> http://twitter.com/proycon

I suppose I could also try to blog a bit on our new blog system here but I probably won't get around to it.

English Spanish (Español) Andalusian alphabet (II) by loqu on 2009-04-14, 17:43
OK, after having proved a little my new orthography, here I go with more issues.

A big one is punctuation. How do languages with an Arabic script deal with punctuation signs? Do they use the Western ones or other of their own? Because I'm aware Arabic goes just OK without punctuation.

I thought of using the fatha for the stress, using it only to mark stress when ambiguity appears, but not normally.

I need apostrophes anyway, and I think I can't do further without them.

I'll have a try with a little sentence.

English: This is a sample sentence in my new ortography.
Spanish: Esto es una frase de prueba en mi nueva ortografía.
loqu's Andalusian:
تٔۆ ه ونا فراثێ دێ پروێبا ن مي نوێبا ۆرتۆگرافيا۔

si Jival t'ietae: The Jival Language by Kanjese on 2010-01-02, 8:37
I have started to create a new language vaguely based on the Na'vi language of AVATAR. Right now I have only created all personal pronouns, about 3 verbs and some nouns. It is an inflecting language right now but it might create part of an isolating language.

I will blog the updates as it progresses.

Personal Pronouns

In the Jival Language, there are 3 persons (1st, 2nd, 3rd) in its grammer. But for example, "if the speaker is saying 'I am looking for him" The word "him" which is a third-person will change into a "first-person alternative" meaning that the first-person is connected to the third-person. It is the same with all the other pronouns.

Meaning- 1st/2nd/3rd

I- Ina/Inef/Inat'i

You- T'a/T'ang/Ta'atei

He- Hanae/Hanef/H'anet

She-Sharrae/Sherof/Sh'arot

It- Petae/Pitef/Pitalte

We- Inavul/Inavuli/Inavulti

They- Hanavul/Hanavuli/Hanavulti

Ex. I see you (phrase from AVATAR)
Jival- Ina...
